I'm the energy and environment reporter for a collaborative of public radio and TV stations in Indiana, based out of WFIU/WTIU in Bloomington. My work has appeared on NPR, Marketplace, Science Friday, as well as collaboratives like Great Lakes Now. I also had the honor of being a Metcalf Institute Fellow by attending the institute's 2020 Annual Science Immersion Workshop for Journalists.
Before coming to Indiana Public Broadcasting, I produced an arts and culture show for WMUK in Kalamazoo, Michigan while covering legacy pollution in the city on the side. Environmental health is a certain passion of mine having grown up minutes from a Superfund site that was used to make World War II explosives and later uranium for the Cold War. I feel it's important to connect what's happening in the environment to real, human experiences in my work.
I was born in St. Louis and am a proud graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. If you want to know where to go hiking in southern Indiana or want to argue about craft beer, drop me a line.
